Join us for a truly special journey into the heart of Lombok — an experience exclusively available to Hani Hideaway guests.

Our bar manager Joni will introduce you to his home village of Gunung Malang, located on the southern side of Mount Rinjani. During the visit you will explore the surrounding rice fields, learn about traditional rice farming, visit the local school, and enjoy a homemade lunch prepared by Joni’s family.

The journey also includes a visit to the beautiful Benang Kelambu waterfall, one of Lombok’s most scenic natural spots.

The experience lasts approximately 10–12 hours and can be arranged either as a day trip from Gili Air or as part of your transfer to or from Lombok.

As part of this experience, 20% of the tour fee is donated to Joni’s village, supporting the local kindergarten, school, and environmental initiatives.

The Gili Islands are home to sea turtles, and sightings are very common, giving you a wonderful opportunity to admire these graceful creatures in their natural habitat.

For the best experience, we recommend starting early in the morning, departing at 8 AM and returning around 11 AM. Light snacks will be prepared for you to enjoy during the trip, and afterwards you can return to Hani Hideaway for a relaxed brunch.

We are partnering with carefully selected horse owners, we ensure our four-legged friends are treated with utmost care and respect. Riding exclusively during sunset ensures a cooler temperature for our equine companions, while you enjoy the gentle sway of the waves and the soft embrace of the sandy beach.

Enjoy a relaxed fishing trip on the open sea, accompanied by one of our team members who shares a passion for fishing. This private three-hour experience offers a peaceful way to spend time on the water while trying your luck at catching your own dinner.

If you make a catch, our chef will be happy to prepare it for you to enjoy later in the evening. And if the sea is generous, you might even have enough to share with others — becoming the hero of the night at Hani Hideaway.
